More than likely, yes. Believe it or not, new cars see a lot of action before they even get to the dealership to be put up for sale. From traveling on rail cars to their next destination to getting their first wash at the dealer, new cars see a lot of contamination from rail dust, fingerprints and improper handling. These elements can produce swirls, micro-marring or even scratching in the vehicle’s finish, resulting in the need for paint correction.
Our industrial is designed to flourish in environments where other coatings, such as automotive coatings, just can't. When properly applied, this coating can build 15-25 mils of thickness. An average ceramic coating is nowhere near that. That being said, this coating is rated to last 10+ years, protecting from harsh chemicals, abrasion, corrosion, as well as UVA and UVB rays from the sun that cause oxidation and surface fading.
Ceramic is a hard polymer solution that is applied or “installed” to a vehicle’s exterior surfaces, such as paint, glass, and wheels, to protect it from damage by bonding at a nano-level, potentially lasting for years. These “damages“ can be from a number of things, such as improper washing, acid rain, bird droppings, chemicals and UV damage or sun fade. Ceramic forms a “layer” of protection on the surface it’s applied to, relieving the need to apply any other types of protection to the vehicle, such as waxes or sealants. If maintained, a ceramic coating is well worth the investment to prolong the lifespan of a vehicle‘s exterior appearance, easing cleaning maintenance and enhancing gloss and protection.
Deciding on a service or package can be daunting. Start by looking at your vehicle and deciding what the first thing is that bothers you visually. From there, decide what your budget is and read through our packages and find something that meets the criteria you set in your head. Choosing what to spend your hard earned money on is a choice that should not be taken lightly, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to us and get our honest opinion on the service our package that will best suit you and your vehicle’s needs.
This all depends on how you will choose to take care of your vehicle after we service it. Customers that do not take washing their vehicle the proper way seriously, should not choose a ceramic coating. The reason being is that cheap, high PH soaps can weaken the coating over time. Stiff, dirty brushes will scratch and blemish the coating, leaving an unpleasant appearance. A ceramic coating is a relative-priced investment that should be treated accordingly, and that treatment includes regular upkeep, utilizing proper methods. We offer a regular maintenance plan to all customers that have had their vehicle coated through us, that ensures proper care of the coating every couple of months. Ask us about it!
